While the Corner Cupboard does not actively solicit for cash donations, we will gladly accept such donations. Any cash donations you generously make to the Corner Cupboard goes a long way. As an all-volunteer organization, we have no payroll, and thus the majority of cash donations get funneled to the charities we support. And since we support over 40 different charities, your donation automatically gets spread across many charitable organizations serving the needs of our community. As mentioned above, Corner Cupboard Charities is a non-profit organization, structured as a 501(c)3 entity.
Donations We Cannot Accept
Although we appreciate you thinking of us, we do not accept items that are recalled, damaged, extremely dirty, or badly stained.
Further, we cannot accept the following items:
CORNER CUPBOARD DONATIONS
We would be unable to manage a successful thrift store without the generous donations from concerned people in the community, people like you. We accept items generously donated to us, and thus we are able to sell these items to the community at affordable prices.
A frequent donor stated, "I love this place. Please make your donations to the Corner Cupboard instead of other thrift shops. These people price their items so that a retiree can afford them."

A case in point is Corner Cupboard Thrift Shop, which gives all of its proceeds to a variety of worthy Miami Valley groups. Corner Cupboard Charities is a diamond in the rough; it has been a part of the East Dayton community for over 60 years with a mission to help those in need.

How and When to Donate
It is very convenient to make your donations at the Corner Cupboard. Items may be dropped off behind the store from 9:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday through Saturday. Ring the doorbell and someone will be there to assist you. As a donor noted; "Donation was a breeze. Much easier than other thrift stores in the area. You just pull up to the back door, ring the bell, and a courteous person will promptly help you unload your items." And for your added convenience, the Corner Cupboard provides a donation pick-up service. Call (937) 252-5491 during normal business hours and a volunteer will take your name, address, phone number, and item(s) description. Someone will call you back to arrange a convenient date and time for the pick-up.
Plus, in cooperation with St. Albert the Great Church on Far Hills Ave. at Dorothy Lane, the Corner Cupboard maintains a drop-off bin on the south side of the parking lot where donations can be left any time.
